1.1 Process Object

The purpose of the Process is to develop the Foundation's strategy, which includes the quality assurance strategy, which is subsequently determined by the Quality Policy.

The Quality Policy is the basic text, which sets out the principles of operation of the Internal Quality Assurance System of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the continuous improvement of the Institution, as well as its obligation to public accountability. The Quality Policy supports the development of a culture of quality, according to which all stakeholders within the Foundation take responsibility for quality and participate in its assurance.  In addition, it supports the safeguarding of academic principles, ethics, the prevention of discrimination, the encouragement of external actors in quality assurance and the continuous improvement of learning and teaching, research and innovation. The Quality Policy has been approved by the Senate and is published on the website of MODIP (https://qa.auth.gr/).

The implementation of the Quality Policy includes the determination of the annual quality target (in accordance with the guidelines of the HAEAE). The quality target includes all the annual objectives required to address weaknesses and improve the parameters of the Foundation's educational, research and administrative work, in accordance with the strategic directions set in the framework of the Foundation's strategy.

The successful implementation of the Process is expected to bring about the following results:

  • Enhancing the prestige and international recognition of all the Foundation's curricula
  • Enhancing the quality of academic activities and services, with the aim of improving student performance.
  • To increase the satisfaction and trust of the labour and society stakeholders in the knowledge, competences and skills of the Foundation's graduates.
