Procedure 02.03: Management of Financial Resources

The allocation and management of financial resources, which come from any source and are intended to cover necessary expenses for the needs of the Institution, is carried out in accordance with the existing legal framework, the internal regulations of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the decisions of the competent bodies and services.

Steps:

  1. MODIP – Provision of financial performance data to the Administration on an annual basis, in accordance with the quality data of OPESP and data of the Institution's other information systems
  2. Competent Units – Academic, research and service units submit (upon invitation of the Administration) relevant data and data
  3. Management - Mapping of financing needs, taking into account strategic planning
  4. Administration – Submission of relevant recommendations regarding the management of financial resources and annual financial planning
  5. Foundation Council – Decisions on the management of financial resources
  6. Disclosure of Decisions 
  7. Competent Units/MODIP – Technical Processing of Decisions and Supply of Information Systems of the Institution and OPESP 
  8. Implementation of Decisions 
  9. Competent Units - Decision Monitoring 
  10. MODIP - EDP Review (D.3) according to the findings 
  11. Strategic Planning Feedback from a competent unit

Parties involved: Administration, Rector, Vice-Rector for Finance, Foundation Council, Directorate of Finance, Academic, Research and Administrative Units, Strategic Planning Unit, MODIP.

Frequency: The allocation and management of financial resources is a repetitive process, which takes place at regular intervals, as well as in exceptional cases depending on the needs of the Foundation.
